The sign of Christmas is a star, a light in darkness. See it not outside yourself, but shining in the Heaven within, and accept it as the sign the time of Christ has come. He comes demanding nothing. No sacrifice of any kind, of anyone, is asked by Him. In His Presence the whole idea of sacrifice loses all meaning. For He is Host to God. And you need but invite Him in Who is there already, by recognizing that His Host is One, and no thought alien to His Oneness can abide with Him there. Love must be total to give Him welcome, for the Presence of Holiness creates the holiness that surrounds it. No fear can touch the Host Who cradles God in the time of Christ, for the Host is as holy as the perfect Innocence which He protects, and Whose power protects Him.
El símbolo de la Navidad es una estrella: una luz en la oscuridad. No la veas como algo que se encuentra fuera de ti, sino como algo que refulge en el Cielo interno, y acéptala como la señal de que la hora de Cristo ha llegado. Cristo llega sin exigir nada. No le exige a nadie ningún tipo de sacrificio. En Su Presencia la idea de sacrificio deja de tener significado, pues Él es el Anfitrión de Dios. Y tú no tienes más que invitar a Aquel que ya se encuentra ahí, al reconocer que Su Anfitrión es Uno y que ningún pensamiento ajeno a Su Unicidad puede residir allí con Él. El amor tiene que ser total para que se le pueda dar la bienvenida, pues la Presencia de la santidad es lo que crea la santidad que lo envuelve. Ningún temor puede asaltar al Anfitrión que le abre los brazos a Dios en la hora de Cristo, pues el Anfitrión es tan santo como la Perfecta Inocencia a la que protege, y Cuyo poder a su vez lo protege a Él.
